In the wake of the Parkland shooting, 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' star, Kim Zolciak took proactive measures and bought her kids bulletproof backpacks.

"I just asked Kroy what can we do as parents to protect our children everyday in this crazy sad world," the shared via Instagram. "He said, 'best thing we could do for now is get bullet proof book bags' you know, I just did! It's better than not having anything at all."

Kim and husband Kroy Biermann have four children together: sons KJ, 6, and Kash, 5, and 4-year-old twins Kaia and Kane.
Kim also has two daughters, 20-year-old Brielle and 16-year-old Ariana, from previous relationships.
With all the craziness happening in the world, bulletproof backpacks don't seem like a bad idea at this point.
