The three Emirati sisters are currently receiving medical treatment at the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City
Two female members of the Abu Dhabi Royal Family have paid a visit to the three Emirate sisters who brutally attacked with a hammer in a London hotel.
Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikha Shama bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met the Emirati women at the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City where they are currently receiving treatment, according to WAM news agency.
Philip Spence, who had attacked the three Emirati sisters, will serve at least 27 years behind bars.
Spence carried out the attack on the three women with a hammer as they slept at the luxury Cumberland Hotel in London.
He hit one victim, Ohoud Al Najjar, 34, with such force her skull split open, the court heard.
Her nine-year-old nephew was under the sheets beside her as the attack took place. She survived the attack but was left with just 5 per cent brain function, lost sight in one eye and can no longer speak. Her sisters Khuloud, 36, and Fatima, 31, were both left with life-threatening injuries.
Sheikha Mriam and Sheikha Shamsa were reassured on the women’s progress following treatment and spoke to them about the ordeal they experienced.
They wished them a speedy recovery and good health.
The three sisters expressed their thanks to both Sheikha Mriam and Sheikha Shamsa for visiting and that it had made a positive impact on their morale.
