Photo: Newborn baby found dead in garbage bin in Sharjah

Police suspect that the baby might have been born as a result of an illicit relationship, and might have been thrown in the garbage by its parents to hide the crime. A newborn baby was found dead in a garbage bin in Al Sajja area of Sharjah on Thursday.

The body wrapped in clothes was found by Sharjah Municipality garbage collectors in the early hours. They immediately notified the police. A police team arrived on the scene, collected evidence and transferred the body to the forensic laboratory for investigation.
