News: New visa fee system in UAE from today; Click here for new cost

The UAE began enforcing a new visa fees system from today, Friday August 01, 2014 after it was endorsed by the federal cabinet as part of plans to organise the entry of foreigners and unify visa fees in the country’s seven emirates.
Following are the new fees for some types of visa as published in the semi-official Arabic language daily Al Ittihad- System includes new fees for all visit, business and residence visas

* Visa for work in the public sector Dh200/$55
* Investor or business partner visa Dh250/$69
* Visa for domestic helpers working for nationals Dh150/$42
* Visa for domestic helpers working for expatriates Dh200/$55
* Visa for family members of expatriate in the public sector Dh200/$55
*  Visa for family members of an investor or business partner Dh250/$69
*  Multi-purpose visa for tourist ship crew members Dh200/$55
*  Visa for landlords Dh1,100/$302
*  Multi-purpose visa for companies Dh2,100/$576
*  Visa for expatriates in the private sector of free zone Dh250/$69
*  Visa for expatriate residents of other GCC countries Dh200/$55
*  Renewal of visa for expatriate residents of GCC countries Dh700/$192
*  Long-term business or entertainment visa Dh550/$151
*  Long-term multi-purpose business or entertainment visa Dh1,500/$411
*  Study or training visa Dh550/$151
*  Medical treatment visa Dh550/$151
*  Visa for patient’s escort Dh1,400/$384

Residence
* Visa for domestic helpers working for nationals or GCC citizens Dh150/$42 per year
