The Nigerian government has accepted, received assistance from and worked together with other countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as France, China, and Israel.
This week, United Nations Special Envoy for education Gordon Brown, who has met the leader of the community council in Chibok, said the community leader and the girls’ families have given permission for the names and photographs to be made public. Also, a list of which exams the girls took shortly before their abduction was published in the newspaper, with most girls majoring in “government” (politics) and physics.
Some of the screenshots of the newspaper pages were made and shared on Twitter by a prominent Nigerian political commentator and journalist Tolu Ogunlesi.
