News: Solange Knowles & Alan Ferguson Engaged After 5 Years Of Dating

Beyonce's 28-year-old sister recently made headlines for her 2014 reported attack and fight video with brother-in-law, Jay Z, but now, she may be tying the knot before the year is out, according to a new report.
It looks like the "Lose You" singer and her longtime boyfriend, Alan Ferguson just got engaged, reported Media Take Out.
The twosome had been dating for five years. Solange had opened up to US Weekly about her longterm love, Ferguson, who is a video director, back in March. 
"Luckily, I dated all of the losers ages ago," said the "Sandcastle Disco" performer at the time. "My love life has been stable for a while. It's a f--ked-up thing -- without conflict it's a lot harder to write interesting songs."
Bey's sister had previously married her high school love, Daniel Smith when she was 17 years old. The couple divorced in 2007, but have a son, Daniel Jr. together. 
Though Solange had kept much of her private life out of the public eye, her crazy scandal with Jay Z at this year's MET gala had gotten her in hot water! So much so that the working mom was knee-deep in arrest rumors.
According to MTO, the New York Police Department was possibly looking to charge Solange with assault in the 3rd degree, which is a misdemeanor. 
The authorities supposedly weren't going to call in Jay Z for questions stemming from the now-infamous brawl, where Knowles hit and kicked the "Magna Carta" rapper at New York City's The Standard Hotel. With the whole family incident caught on tape, many fans thought that was the only proof that the police needed on Solange.
Supposedly, authorities had a full copy of the elevator video. However, no arrests were made.
Knowles' elevator beatdown of her brother-in-law apparently was triggered by the rap impresario getting "too close" to his former business partner's ex-wife, Rachel Roy, according to New York Daily News. 
As the story goes, Beyoncé's younger sibling didn't like the way that the designer was hovering over Hovah at the Met Gala after-party at the Standard Hotel on May 5, sources told the Daily News.
The Standard Hotel fired whoever leaked the video of the one-sided brawl, saying the individual was "responsible for breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video released by TMZ."
