News: Ramadan working hours announced for public & private sectors

Working hours during Ramadan for all federal government entities will be from 9am to 2pm, according to a circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
The circular was issued by Humaid Al Qutaimi, chairman of the authority.
The working hours in both public and private entities are usually reduced two hours during the month of Ramadan.
The working hours for all private sector employees will be reduced by two hours during the Holy Month of Ramadan with no salary reduction for workers.
The announcement came in a circular issued by Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, in implementation of the provision of Article 65 of Federal Law No. 08 of 1980 concerning the regulation of labour relations and its amendments.
Mr. Ghobash offered sincere greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, the U.A.E. people and the Arab and Islamic Nations, on the occasion of the advent of Holy Ramadan.
