The first daughter tried out a day in the life of a TV production assistant on the Los Angeles set of Halle Berry's new CBS sci-fi thriller Extant, produced by Steven Spielberg.
"She helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take," an insider told The Wrap.
The source also quoted Obama, 15, as commenting on the experience, "My first time. This is a big deal!"
The White House did not dispute the report, but declined to elaborate. President Obama told PEOPLE in 2012 that his eldest daughter had expressed some interest in film making.
"Just like her father, she is an avid reader, and she enjoys movies. But she's a freshman, so she also knows she has years in college to explore her interest," her mom Michelle Obama added.
TMZ reports that Malia spent most of her day going on runs for coffee and drinks for the cast ... like every other no-name peon. She also helped the crew by blocking people from walking through scenes during shooting. Buhahaha.....T.M.Z!!!!
