Katy Perry was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador at an event yesterday, Tuesday 3rd of Dec. in New York City. She will be engaging young people in UNICEF's work to improve the lives of the globe's most vulnerable children and teenagers. That means empowering them to speak out about the challenges they face including such issues as living in extreme poverty in communities beset by violence, abuse, neglect and war.
