Lionel Richie & Luke Bryan join Katy Perry as ‘American Idol’ judges

Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan have officially been announced as the two judges joining Katy Perry for the upcoming ‘American Idol’ reboot.
"American Idol" is idling no more — Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan  are officially joining the show as judges.
Bryan announced he and Richie had signed on for the TV singing competition with an Instagram post Friday — ending a months-long search by ABC to fill out its judging lineup next to Katy Perry.
"I'm so excited and proud to announce I'll be one of the three judges on ABC's 'American Idol.' I will be joined with the beautiful Ms. Katy Perry, and my hero, Mr. Lionel Richie," Bryan said in a video filmed on a Kansas cornfield.
Lionel Richie also made this announcement on his official Twitter account:
