Today September 22, 2014 is a special day in the life of legendary juju musician, Sunday Adegeye famously called King Sunny Ade. The veteran musician turns 68 years old today, just a few weeks after he celebrated the birthday of his wife Hon. Princess Ajoke Adeniyi-Adegeye who turned 55 on September 2. King Sunny Ade was born to a royal family in Ondo town, Ondo state and over the years, Sunny Ade’s musical status has steadily risen from the early days when he set out after his exit from the band of late Orlando Owoh, is mentor. His career began with Moses Olaiya’s Federal Rhythm Dandies, a highlife band however, and he was later to form a new band, The Green Spots in 1967 and has since remained a relevant figure in the Nigerian music industry.
