News: Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo's Son Launches Global Fund-Raiser For Medical Bills

The son of Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, the outspoken journalist cum community activist who, on Wednesday, 17 September, 2014, was brutally beaten up by her sister, Funke, a Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Education, and her son, 15-year-old Fifehan, as well as other family members, has launched a global fund raiser to raise the sum of $400,000 to pay the hospital bills for his mother in a foreign hospital.
Enitan, the oldest son of the US trained Journalist/Pharmacist/Gun Violence/Gay Rights and Crime Victims Advocate, Certified PR Specialist and the News Director of #HNNAfrica, launched a fund raiser asking her global fans and followers to help with his mother's medical bills, with the view to flying her to Europe to get specialized care due to internal head injuries she received and the poor level of health care in Nigeria. The cost of her medical bills to correct and monitor her injuries will be around $350,000.
Kemi, who has been undergoing treatment at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, after the attack which left her with serious concussion, head and internal injuries and severe bruises, would have to undergo intensive treatment abroad and the exorbitant bills has made her son take the steps to launch the appeal to save his mother.
In a press statement made available to Pulse.ng, Kemi is not eligible for Social Security Disability benefits as she lives outside the United States. She also has no health insurance which is a non existent area of insurance in Nigeria and finally, there is no police report due to the lack of domestic violence laws and intervention in Nigeria. She is asking her global fans from North America to Nigeria to help her crowd funding effort.
Kemi, whose father, Victor Omololu-Olunloyo, was a one time governor of Oyo State, has been a thorn in the flesh of her state government over the lack of people oriented programmes and the provision of basic amenities. Her stance at community activism, had irked her sister, Funke Olunloyo, a state government official, who accused Kemi of trying to bring the ruling Oyo State APC government down, and thus led the mob action on the vocal Kemi.
The case which has generated a lot of global attention with respect to a political official beating up a journalist to a state of unconsciousness in Nigeria where there are no domestic violence laws, has been on the front burner for some days now and is yet to go away.
In the attack witnessed and supported by her own mother, Funlayo Olunloyo, the ever controversial Kemi suffered several bodily injuries, head injuries, knee bruises, a huge cut on her toe, broken facial bones, black eyes and also lost significant hearing loss. She is slowly recovering from the attack and is suffering from slurred speech as well as experiencing twitches and seizures.
In a post on her Facebook page yesterday, Kemi reported that she cannot record any radio newscasts due to a damaged eardrum resulting from being kicked in the head.
Meanwhile, her son, Enitan, a high functioning Autistic man who she raised alone, released a statement from his hometown, Philadelphia, USA:
"My mom fights for children to walk to school safely on roads, tweets their Governor to supply water to their neighborhoods and gets electricity back into the neighborhood by advocating for several people and it's my own family members that has to try killing her for speaking out?
That video dragged we her children down and we indeed want no relationship with our Nigerian family at this time"
A crowd funding portal has been set up and will be operated by her sons at Go Fund Me and Indiegogo on her new archive-only Facebook page, Facebook.com/KemiOlunloyo and her now closed news page Facebook.com/HNNAfrica.
She has posted pictures of her bruised face and bloodied hand after the attack.

What goes around, they say, comes around. This story is pathetic and I really feel for Ms Kemi Olunloyo. But could it be that this “calamity” that is befalling Ms Kemi is a resultant effect of public embarrassment caused The God’s generals like Pastor E.A. Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo? Sometimes, it is risky to feel or render a helping hand to somebody under God’s punishment. Maybe I should even advise that Sister Kemi should just go and apologise to these people to forestall the imminent bigger punishment. The Bible says “touch not my anointed”; but sister Kemi “disgraced" these people sometime last year or earlier. I hope Mr Isaac has not forgotten this incident.

Nevertheless, i totally support domestic violence bill be reviewed to accommodate realities at hand. I was a victim of that in the past too.

That picture of her bleeding hand is not from the attack at all, the picture is from
when her son KJ fell and banged his head and had to get stiches, this
picture of kemi's bloody hand is the picture she uploaded to one of the
thousands of fake facebook pages she makes, when her son KJ was lying
unconcious on the ground, instead of getting medical help kemi took
pictures of her bleeding son and posted them online to garner pity from
the people of Toronto, when she didn't receive the attention she wanted
this is what set her off on her rampage in the Toronto Media, Kemi
Olunloyo was arrested and spent a week in jail before being deported
from Nigeria, Kemi Olunloyo assaulted her son Enitan when she was living
in Georgia, her son is severely autistic, Kemi Olunloyo is now using
her Mentally Handicapped son as a scapegoat to make up these lies.
