News: Senator Dahiru Kuta passes away today, June 12th

Nigeria, in the early hours of today, 12th of June, lost a serving senator, Senator Dahiru Awaisu Kuta who was representing the Niger East Senatorial District.
Kuta’s demise came a few days after a former Minister of Information, Prof. Dora Akunyili passed on.
The late Kuta was born on 16 April 1949 and was elected Senator for the Niger East constituency of Niger State, Nigeria, taking office on 29 May 2007.
Until his demise, he was a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
