Photos: Uh Oh: William Shatner Blasts Twitter For Verifying Accounts Of "Nonentities"

William Shatner shared his disgust for Twitter policy over the weekend when the actor questioned the social network’s criteria for granting verified accounts.

When technology blog Engadget recently gained their one millionth Twitter follower, their social media manager John Colucci took to the social platform to celebrate the milestone.

But little did he know, this simple tweet would set off a Twitter rant for the ages! After being tweeted at directly by the manager in what was clearly some light-hearted banter, Shatner proceeded to question why Twitter had verified Colucci’s account. “@johncolucci Why are you even @verified? If this guy can get verified I'll nominate my Social Media guy,” the actor wrote. What came next was a surprise to everyone as Shatner took shots at both Twitter and all the "nobodies" with regular day jobs.
I kinda agree with the Star Trek actor, William Shatner. I don't understand why international artist, Femi kuti's Twitter account is still unverified.....leaves me dazed!!!
