Photos: Ghanaian Nollywood actress, Jackie Appiah, turns 30

Jackie Appiah turned 30 yesterday, Thur Dec. 5.

Jackie Appiah was born in Canada where she started her early education in Toronto. She moved to Ghana with her family when she was 10 years old and attended Faith Montessori.

Beautiful Jackie could have easily picked another career but because of her love and passion for acting since she was young, she could not see herself doing anything else other than acting. She started appearing on stage at the age of 12 and was the runner-up of the Talent Teens Competition at her local church group. Jackie started acting professionally in 2001 in TV Series ‘Things We Do For Love’ and later became a success after starring in her first big role in'Divine Love' alongside Majid Michel. Since then, she has starred in numerous productions like Princess Tyra, The Groom's Bride, 4Play and The Prince's Bride.

The beautiful actress has won numerous awards, including the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Best Supporting Actress. Her latest win was in September where she picked up the award at the 2013 African Oscars (NAFCA) for Best Actress in Leading Role for movie ‘Turning Point’.
She spent her day visiting Ebenezer Hills Junior Secondary School, off the Accra-Akosombo road, Ghana which she does annually, and putting smiles on the pupils' faces as she made a huge donation and mingled with them.
Here are some of the pics.

Here is wishing the beautiful and talented Jackie a HBD!
