Twitter has finally caved and will let users fix fat-fingered mistakes and autocorrect debacles.
The rollout will be gradual, starting with internal testing for Twitter employees.
Twitter Blue subscribers will go next and eventually everyone will be able to edit tweets — although the company didn’t say when.
Twitter had originally resisted the idea, fearing the spread of misinformation if tweets were altered after being widely shared, so it's adding safeguards.
Changes can only be made 30 minutes after the original tweet was sent and edited tweets will be labeled.
