The Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC) has launched its “bread for all” initiative that offers free bread through vending machines across Dubai.
“Sabil Bread is an innovative charitable initiative that supports the needy groups and consolidates the UAE’s humanitarian position,” a statement on Wam said.
The project is line with Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s zero-hunger vision for the UAE – “no one will go hungry in the land of the Emirates,” he once said.
The vending machines, located in 10 Aswaaq branches across Dubai, provides “freshly baked” bread in a click of a button.
The initiative is specifically aimed at poor families in the emirate, as well as labourers.
Anyone can also contribute to the initiative through monetary donations.
It can be done through the vending machines, online, or by directly contacting the organisers.
The initiative is a collaboration between MBRGCEC, Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, and Aswaaq.
