MUST READ: Revised list of fines for flouting #COVID19 rules in the #UAE

The UAE government has issued a revised list of fines to crackdown on those flouting the COVID-19 regulations and safety guidelines.
Tougher penalties will be imposed on individuals as well as organisations that don't comply with the rules.
Here's the complete list:
  • AED 50,000 for COVID-19 patients who violate compulsory hospitalisation when instructed by authorities
  • AED 50,000 for those violating quarantine measure (both at home and at designated private facilities for self-isolating individuals)
  • Fines for violating the smart application used to track/monitor the health and whereabouts of individuals under home quarantine:
    • AED 10,000 fine for those who fail to register or download the app, damage or lose their smartphone
    • AED 20,000 fine for those who illegally alter both data or the software’s mechanism and for those who hack the system and extract data
    • AED 10,000 for failing to report the loss or damage of the smart device containing the app
  • Fines for shops that violate reopening guidelines 
    • AED 50,000 fine to be issued to the shopping centre and closure of the establishment for the duration of a month
    • AED 5,000 fine to be issued to shop owners who have stores outside shopping malls
    • AED 20,000 to be issued to establishments who fail to place thermal screening cameras or for those who fail to implement the necessary precautionary measures
  • Gatherings:
    • AED 10,000 fine to be issued to those who organise the gatherings
    • AED 5,000 fine to be issued to attendees of gatherings (be it in public spaces or even private gardens)
  • AED 5,000 fine for all those coming from abroad into the UAE and violating the country’s precautionary measures
  • AED 3,000 fine to be issued to establishments that fail to implement the necessary precautionary measures
  • AED 5,000 fine to be issued to food outlets violating the precautionary measures, which include the disinfection and sanitisation of all equipment and cooking utensils used to prepare food
  • AED 1,000 to those who violate each emirate’s regulations regarding the well-being and health of workers and their living conditions at labour camps/shared accommodation
  • AED 1,000 for all those who use unauthorised chemical solutions to clean which could harm people’s health
  • AED 10,000 fine to be issued to cruise ship owners/captains that fail to implement the necessary precautionary measures
  • AED 5,000 fine to all those who violate burial procedures of those who’ve died from the coronavirus
  • AED 3,000 for exceeding the approved number of passengers per vehicle (driver + two passengers)
  • AED 5,000 fine to be issued to the driver of a vehicle used to transport and sell unlicensed products in an illegal manner
  • AED 3,000 fine for all those who fail to wear  a mask in public
  • AED 5,000 fine to company owners who fail to ensure that employees are wearing their masks
  • AED 500 fine to each employee who fails to wear a mask inside the office space
  • AED 5,000 fine to be issued to companies or centres that fail to implement precautionary measures (maintaining an appropriate social distance between people)
  • AED 3,000 fine to those who exceed the number of people authorised to exercise together, walk in public spaces and sit together on private beaches belonging to hotels
  • AED 5,000 fine to transportation companies that fail to sanitize and disinfect all their means of transportation
  • AED 1,000 for violating health facilities
  • AED 5,000 fine to be issued to all those who refuse to get tested for COVID-19 when instructed to do so by relevant authorities
  • AED 1,000 fine to be issued to those who fail to retake the COVID-19 test after two weeks from the first test
  • AED 3,000 fines to those who violate the disinfection programme timings by leaving the house when movement is restricted (8:00 pm – 6:00 am)
  • AED 10,000 fine to be issued to the company and to the driver (if it is a private vehicle) for transferring workers between different Emirates after it had been prohibited in the country
  • AED 5,000 for failing to implement precautionary measures when transporting workers (i.e. abiding by vehicle capacity measures, failing to ensure they are wearing masks, failing to ensure that they are social distancing)
    • AED 500 fine to be issued to each worker violating these rules
  • AED 30,000 fine to be issued to individuals offering, organising or mediating tutoring services (personal lessons) either in public or private places
    • AED 20,000 fine will also be issued to the owner of the private facility in which the lessons are being given/held
  • AED 20,000 fine to those who collect, copy, broadcast, disclose, publish or circulate health data or information on individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are undergoing treatment/examination with health authorities. The same amount will be issued to those who destroy confidential data or information about patients
  • AED 5,000 fine will be issued to those who fail to comply with information security standards approved by government or private health facilities
