UAE nurseries to close from today to reduce the spread of Coronavirus

The Ministry of Education has stated that all nurseries across Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be closed for two weeks starting from Sunday March 1.
The directive is in relation to precautionary and preventative measures to reduce the possibility of transmission of the COVID-19 virus infection.
In further preventative measures, The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) have also issued a mandate stating that all schools and universities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi should cancel all trips, sports fixtures, events, exchanges and presentations, as well as extra-curricular activities, rehearsals and practices. A Tweet posted by the KHDA on Saturday February 28 said: “To make sure everyone in Dubai stays safe, all internal and external gatherings at private schools and universities in Dubai have been cancelled. This includes camps, sports and trips. This is a precautionary action only. Safety is always our top priority.”
