Some video & voice calling apps restrictions have been lifted temporarily in the UAE

The UAE’s telecoms regulator has announced that some video and voice calling apps are available temporarily.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announced that it has updated the list of VoIP application available to use in the country. Among the apps available to use are Skype for Business and Google Hang Out, which both can be used with fixed line internet networks.
Also, Microsoft Teams, video calling app Zoom and educational platform Blackboard are also available to use on mobile and fixed line networks. du has also introduced Voico UAE, which allows users to make free video and voice calls to other Voico users anywhere in the world.
It's a free app and will be free to use until May 20.
