Dubai announces the release of 94 Eco-friendly buses

With Dubai EXPO2020 just right around the corner, sustainable developments and adjustments are being made here and there.

Just last week, RTA announced the changes made to the Dubai Metro to accommodate more passengers and control the rush-hour crowds and it appears they don't intend to stop there. On July 6th, RTA introduced 94 eco-friendly buses that will be deployed on 17 routes, 8 of which are already existing.

Unlike the usual RTA buses, these new ones are medium-sized with only one door but that's okay because these buses will operate on low-demand routes and residential areas. Don't be fooled by its sized though. These buses can still accomodate 32 seated passengers and 8 standees thanks to the new front wheel design that allows more room for passengers.
These sleek buses are also compatible with the European Emission Standards (Euro 5) which means they emit lesser Carbon Monoxide and aren't as harmful to the environment yay!
Oh and the best thing, the buses have Wi-Fi and USB charging ports.
