ANNOUNCED: Hijri New Year holiday for UAE public & private sectors
A holiday day has been announced for the public and private sectors to celebrate the Islamic New Year.
Workers will get a long weekend with next Thursday (September 13) off, and normal hours will resume on Sunday September 16.
The important occasion is traditionally a time for Muslims to reflect on their faith.
