No standard maintenance checks before takeoff.
In a statement from the Sharjah Civil Aviation Department (SCAD) it's been confirmed 11 passengers and crew perished in the flight. The department stated the plane did not apply for any maintenance checks while awaiting takeoff at the airport, according to the Khaleej Times.
However, the cause of the accident has yet to be confirmed, the flight did encounter adverse weather conditions.
The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the UAE will support the ongoing investigation into the accident.
