News: Somewhere, Girls Are Smiling: Why Mario Balotelli's boo broke up with him

Belgian model Fanny Naguesha, who dated Liverpool bad boy Mario Balotelli for two years, has confirmed that their relationship is definitely over.

The pair split up just after the striker returned from a disappointing World Cup campaign in Brazil with the Italian national team, and just before he finalised a move to join the Reds. 

Despite announcing their engagement in June from Brazil, the couple shockingly parted ways, with Naguesha choosing not to move to Liverpool to be with Balotelli, 24. 

Naguesha, 23, spoke out on the split in the latest edition of her hometown magazine, NINA.

Fanny said: “It’s definitely over between Mario and me. But I want to highlight this: we have no quarrel. I wish Mario all the best in his life and his football career.”

Interestingly, the petite model admitted that she was unprepared for the pressure of being a ‘WAG’ and constantly being in the public eye.

“I wasn’t prepared for all the attention. In the beginning you’re happy when a picture of you goes around the world: ‘Wow, so much attention… Just for me?” she said. 

And while she admitted to enjoying the attention at the beginning when Balotelli was playing for AC Milan, she later found it exhausting to keep up appearances all the time.
