News: Chris Martin & Gwyneth Paltrow on the verge of reconciliation?

With their relationship appearing to be as close as ever since they announced the end of their 11-year marriage, it was only a matter of time before speculation would begin about a reconciliation.

According to the Sunday People, sources close to Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow  now claim that the couple, who announced their split in March, are on the road to patching up their romance.

'Despite being very different beasts, Chris and Gwyneth adore one another. I suppose it's a case of they can't live without one another,' a source close to the couple is quoted as saying.

On Thursday night, the Oscar-winning actress spent two hours at Chris's Malibu home, collecting her belongings and talking with the Coldplay star.

A source close to the actress said: 'Jennifer went over to Chris's to apologise for the coverage of their breakup being so one-sided, reclaim her possessions and to ensure there were no hard feelings.'

The source insisted that Jennifer is now happily single, adding: 'They're not getting back together.'
