The role to play Whitney Houston in an upcoming biopic has finally been filled.

The new Lifetime movie, which will be directed by Angela Bassett, has been avidly looking for the perfect actress to play the late legendary singer, and they have chose America’s Next Top Model cycle 3 contestant Yaya DaCosta!

Whitney’s story will cover her trials and tribulations while making a successful career for herself as she sparks an intense relationship with Bobby Brown.

Yaya already has some acting experience after starring in The Butler, Take The Lead, and some cameos in All My Children previously.
