Sadly Melanie Griffith has filed for divorce from husband of 18 years, Antonio Banderas.Their reps have released the following joint statement: "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20 years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honouring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together."According to the court documents obtained the actress has cited irreconcilable differences and has asked for child support and sole custody of the couple's daughter, Stella, who is almost 18-years-old. Griffith has also asked for spousal support.On Thursday night, Griffith attended the AFI Life Achievement Award event honouring Jane Fonda in Hollywood without Banderas, although she was still wearing her wedding rings.This was Griffith's fourth marriage and Banderas' second. She was previously married twice to Don Johnson and once to Steve Bauer.
