News: Just In: The Emir Of Kano Is Dead

The Emir of Kan, Ado Abdullahi Bayero, has passed away at the age of 83.
Bayero, who is one of Nigeria’s most prominent traditional rulers, died in the early hours of today, Friday June 6, 2014.
According to family sources, the Emir died in Kano.
He will be laid to rest later today according to Islamic rites.
May his soul rest in peace.
