News: Celine Dion's Husband Rene Angelil Quits As Her Manager After 30 years

It looks like Celine Dion's husband/manager Rene Angelil is no longer a "slashie".

After being temporarily sidelined with throat cancer, Angelil is stepping down as his wife's manager, making way for close friend and Quebecor executive, Aldo Giampaolo, to assume the role.

Giampaolo, former president and CEO of QMI Entertainment & Sports, will become CEO of Feelings Productions, the management firm that oversees the French chanteuse's career.

Said Angelil in a statement, he announced the appointment of his "longtime close friend" with "great pleasure and the utmost confidence."
