Is brunch back?
Three words Dubai has longed to hear for quite some time: Brunch is back. Authorities have confirmed the return of the city staple, provided restaurants stick to the new maximum of ten people per table.
Do I still need to wear a face mask?
Yes, face masks remain mandatory, and must be worn when in public places and when not seated at a restaurant or bar in hotels and private establishments.
Is social distancing over?
No, but it has been slashed from three metres to two metres.
Are bars open again?
Bars are being reopened under the new measures, but you'll need to have received both doses of the jab to get entry. The same rule applies for staff.
Is live music back?
In more news that’ll come as music to the ears, gigs have been given the green light, subject to attendees and staff being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The authorities confirmed that “live entertainment and activities” are allowed in restaurants, cafés and shopping malls for a trial period of one month.
How many friends can I dine out with?
You’re now free to grab more of the gang than before, with ten diners allowed to share a table at Dubai restaurants. Groups of six can also sip a warm cup of Joe together in the city’s cafés.
Are hotels back to normal?
Hotels are now approved to fill every room they have after the government signed off on 100 percent occupancy.

How many guests can I invite to my wedding?
As many as you want, up to 100, provided they have been inoculated against the virus. Staff at the venue will also need to have received the vaccine. Those tying the knot at home can do so provided the party doesn’t exceed 30 people. Social distancing rules and wearing of masks will need to be adhered to.
Will there be more tickets to live events?
Concerts, community sporting events, gala dinners and award ceremonies are all permissible subject to special permits issues by the government. Maximum attendance for indoor events is 1,500 people, while outside that number jumps to 2,500, meaning more of us can get to the stuff we care about. This is being trialled for the next month, and could be extended thereafter.
Can I do all the things I love if I’m not vaccinated?
To benefit from some of the eased restrictions, people will need to have received both doses of the vaccination. Be sure to scan through this FAQ thoroughly to stay ahead of any requirements.
Can I go and watch my favourite sports team again?
Whatever your game, it’s hard to picture it without fans. But vaccinated spectators are now welcome back in the stands, with grounds cleared to operate at 70 percent capacity. Staff and participants will need to have received both doses of the jab.
