It's official - Trump's Twitter is gone for good! CFO Ned Segal confirms Trump will NEVER be allowed back

Twitter's Chief Financial Officer said Wednesday that Donald Trump would not be allowed back on platform even if he were to run for office again. 

Ned Segal told CNBC that the former president's suspension will not be overturned, adding: 'When you are removed from the platform you are removed from the platform, whether you are a commentator, you're a CFO or you are a former or current public official.' But asked about Washington looking into social media regulation Segal insisted the company 'want to see speech...and user's points of view protected'. 

Segal told the network: 'We believe in transparency and choice and we think we have a really important voice around this conversation.' 

Trump was permanently banned from Twitter following the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6. The site also banned more than 70,000 accounts for sharing misinformation, including some of his high profile supporters. 

The former president faces his second impeachment trial this week after being accused of being the 'inciter in chief' of the deadly attack at the Capitol aimed at overturning his election loss to Joe Biden.
