Photo: Dubai King sends a message to students as they resume school tomorrow #BackToSchool

Tomorrow, Sunday the 2nd of  September, marks the beginning of a new academic year in the UAE, and more than 1.1 million students are expected to be back to school across 616 public schools here in the UAE.

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum today took to his official Twitter page to say:

غدا يبدأ عامنا الدراسي ونستأنف رحلة التعليم لأكثر من مليون طالب في وطننا ..كلمتي لهم ..مدرستك تبنيك لتبني وطنك ..تعطيك علماً لتعطينا أنت مجداً. من صفوفكم تبدأ أحلامنا وأحلامكم .. وعلى دفاتركم تسطرون مستقبل بلدكم..بكم يعلو الوطن ..فاجعلوا مدارسكم وطناً لكم.. وفقكم الله ورعاكم.

Translation:
"Tomorrow is the start of a new academic year, and we continue the educational journey of more than one million students in our nation. I would like to say to them: your school builds you up so you can build your nation, it gives you knowledge so you can give us glory, your dreams and our dreams start in your classrooms, you outline your countries' future in your notebooks, with you the country shall rise so make your schools your homes. God be with you and give you the best of luck."
