Grace period for residence visa violators in the UAE extended

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) in the UAE announced an extension to the grace period for residence holders whose visas expired before March 1.
The grace period has been extended from August 18 to November 17. 
The decision also includes waiving all fines upon departure with no ban. 
The Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at ICA clarified that expired visa holders leaving from Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah airports must arrive 6 hours before the flight, and those leaving from Dubai Airport must visit the deportation center 48 hours before the flight.
