Exclusive: A Nigerian wins the Most Inspiring African Designer Award at the #RunwayDubai #RWD

Runway Dubai was created in 2013 as part of a responsible initiative to enhance the fashion industry in the region.

Founded by Nigerian-born, Dubai based fashion designer, Modupe Omonze, Runway Dubai quickly gained international recognition because of the inclusion of diversity and social awareness campaigns.
At the just concluded 6th edition, there were designers from all over the globe:

Adrianna Talansi - An award-winning designer from Congo.
Nkechi Harry Ngonadi (NHN) - The most influential designer in Africa.
Tatiana Shabelnik - Stays focused in pursuing her dreams and promoting her culture.
Araoluwa Popoola (Aramanda) - The only men’s wear designer this season.
Meghna Williams - A new mom from India who translates her experiences into art.
Salihat Rahaman - The only designer who brings Arabian Abaya style to Nigeria.
Yasmin Mamlouk - Winner of last year’s designer challenge with her debut collection among others.
Autism Wins Campaign With Natalie Oden, a model and actress with autism who has inspired many
with her story, opened the Runway Dubai show held last night at the Marriott Hotel in Al Jaddaf.
At the end of the day, Nkechi Harry Ngonadi (NHN) from Nigeria, won The Most Influential Designer in Africa Award.
The 2-day event was lovely, but the grand finale last night was spectacular.

This is what a fashion show is all about! A bit of drama, fashion & everything in between!! @nhn_couture & her team not only made me feel like a proud Nigerian in Dubai, but a proud African! They totally nailed it. Their intro got everybody wowing and taking pics. I was practically dancing & singing along. My voice was the loudest, you know na, as per a Naija in the house) 🤪🙈 There were traditional dancers vibing to this nice tune (Don't know the song or the artist but it was dope). Even her models added a bit of twist to their catwalk. My friends were like, 'the best, the best', after NHN's session. Dayummm, now I know Nigerians are extra!!!
