#UAENationalDay 2017 holidays for public sector have just been announced

The public holiday for National Day weekend has been announced for public sector.

The UAE Government has announced public holidays ahead of National Day on December 2, Commemoration Day on November 30 and the Prophet's birthday.

Government offices will be closed on Thursday November 30 to December 3 as the country celebrates its 46th birthday, according to Wam.

Offices will reopen on Monday, December 4.

Celebrations throughout the country will commemorate the UAE’s formal nationalisation from the British Protectorate Treaties.

UAE schools celebrate the day by holding national events where children dress up in the cultural garb and perform folkloric dances.

Private sector is yet to be confirmed.
