The next owner of the NBA's Houston Rockets could be Beyonce

It's a good time to be involved with the Houston Rockets.
James Harden has morphed into a perennial MVP candidate since leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder, and after adding Chris Paul to the mix this summer, the Rockets have a claim on the league's best back court, in an era where perimeter play is more important than ever.
So it only seems right that some Houston royalty wants to get in on the action. BeyoncĂ©, one of the most well-known Houston natives on the planet, is reportedly considering investing enough money in the franchise to become a part owner of the team, according to Bloomberg's Scott Soshnick.
Les Alexander, the current owner of the Rockets, caught a lot of league observers by surprise when he announced in July that he was interested in selling the team he owns outright. Financially, the NBA is in the best shape it has ever been in, which sort of cuts both ways; it seems like a great time to maximize your return if you're looking to sell, but you're also giving up a valuable property in the midst of continual growth.
