First it was Jeremy Meeks from USA, then Stéphanie Beaudoin from Canada and now Sean Kory from USA? Phew!!!

America appears to have a new contender for best-looking mugshot ever in the form of a California man accused of beating up a partygoer for dressing as a Fox News anchor.

No matter how appalling his alleged crime of assaulting a man with a tennis racket on Halloween may be, Sean Kory's bad boy attitude and murky green eyes have the internet shouting 'America's next hot mug shot.'

The 29-year-old even bears a unmistakable resemblance to the last Californian criminal with model good looks to take the web by storm: Stockton man Jeremy Meeks.

Sean Kory was in downtown Santa Cruz when he allegedly saw the person in costume and screamed 'I hate Fox News' before grabbing their microphone prop.

Kory's accused of then started hitting the innocent bystander with an aluminium racket he was carrying.

It isn't known whether Kory was also in costume -- or why he had a tennis racket. 

After a short chase he was tracked down, restrained and arrested.

Kory was booked into the county jail, Deputy Police Chief Steve Clark said in a news release.

Similar to Meeks, Kory's arrest Friday was not his first brush with the law. 

As far back as 2008, Kory was arrested in Gainesville, Florida for marijuana possession. 

His mugshot even then hinted at the more striking booking photo to come.

Now that he's being compared to Meeks, another question arises: Will Kory go on to capitalize on his internet fame?

If he's anything like Meeks, the answer is no.

Meeks was arrested on a slew of state felony counts June 18 as part of a gang bust in Stockton. 

Many accounts, including a widely shared one from TMZ asserted that Meeks was offered a modeling contract.

That turned out not to be true. And after Meeks was indicted on federal gun charges, he was no longer allowed to be photographed while in custody, anyway.
