News: Rolling Stone Lead Singer, Mick Jagger's Girlfriend Found Dead This Morning

Mick Jagger has released a statement on Facebook regarding the passing of his longtime partner L'Wren Scott:

I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.

We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.

She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.

I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.

I will never forget her,

The Rolling Stones have scrapped the opening date of their upcoming Australian tour following the death of Mick Jagger's longtime girlfriend L'Wren Scott.

News of L'Wren Scott's death has also resulted in Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall's daughter Georgia cancelling her appearance at Melbourne Fashion Week.

The 22-year-old model was scheduled to walk the runway for Australian designer Camilla Franks, but those plans have now been cancelled.

"In light of the recent sad news, Georgia May Jagger will not be participating in Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival for the Camilla Grand Showcase," said the designer's spokesperson. "We ask that you respect Ms Jagger and her family’s privacy at this very difficult time"

Mick Jagger's girlfriend L'Wren Scott has reportedly been found dead after an apparent suicide.
The body of the 49-year-old model and designer was discovered inside a New York City apartment this morning, Mon. Mar 17, WABC-TV reports. Scott's assistant reportedly found the body hanging by a scarf  tied to a doorknob. Officers suspect it was a suicide, but the Medical Examiner’s Office will officially determine the cause of death.
She has been together with longtime Rolling Stones member Mick Jagger since 2001. L'Wren's line has a large celebrity following including Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker.
