A university student who disguised herself in a niqab to THROW ACID over a Victoria Secret's worker's face, because she was jealous of her looks, was jailed for 12 years yesterday Fri March 21 2014.
Mary Konye, 22, was sentenced to 12 years in prison at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday for hurling acid in the face of her friend, Naomi Oni, while wearing a Muslim veil.
Miss Oni was left scarred for life after suffering serious burns on her face and chest following the incident in Dagenham, east London, on December 30 2012.
