#GlobalCitizenFestival draws 60,000 to Central Park with Ayra Starr, Rema, Shakira, Cardi B performances

The Global Citizen Festival returned to New York City's Central Park on September 27, 2025, hosted by Hugh Jackman and featuring Shakira, Cardi B, Tyla, ROSÉ, Ayra Starr, and others before 60,000 attendees who earned free tickets through app-based advocacy.

Performers delivered sets addressing extreme poverty, climate change, and Gaza's humanitarian crisis, with Elyanna sharing a family's survival story. 

Organizers reported millions in pledges for poverty alleviation as the event broadcast live on YouTube and Hulu.
