An American man of Nigerian descent has died after he was stabbed at a Miami high-rise in what officials are calling a domestic dispute.
Miami police are investigating after Christian Obumseli, 27, was fatally stabbed on Sunday night, April 3, at the One Paraiso luxury building at 3131 Northeast Seventh Avenue in Edgewater.
Police said there was a physical altercation between Christian Obumseli and his girlfriend, 25-year-old Courtney Clenney, before he was stabbed. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital and later died, police said.

Florida police say a 27-year-old Miami man died of a knife wound to the chest Sunday — as video shows his Instagram model girlfriend was spotted soaked in blood, wearing handcuffs and being questioned by investigators. But so far, there have been no charges.
Christian Tobechukwu Obumseli suffered "an apparent knife wound" in a domestic violence incident before first responders rushed him 2.5 miles away to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami police said in a statement. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. A lawyer for his girlfriend, Courtney Clenney, said she was defending herself.
Video showing the aftermath of the altercation obtained by TMZ appears to show a distraught, blood-covered woman in handcuffs sitting on a balcony, speaking with police. The front of her white sweatpants is stained red, as are her arms, chest, stomach and forehead. Following the stabbing, Clenney was detained and while at the police station, she was threatening to kill herself. Officers took her to the hospital where she was hospitalized under the Baker Act, and at the moment, she is not facing any charges.
Prieto said that 1 in 4 U.S. women are victims of domestic violence, as well as 1 in 9 men.
In tweets shared between 2012 to 2018, he slut-shamed black women and said he doesn't talk to them. Below are old tweets Christian shared belittling black women.
Obumseli would have turned 28 next week, according to a GoFundMe fundraiser set up by his brother. "He did not deserve for his life to be cut short by a heinous act of violence," the brother, Jeffrey Obumseli, wrote.
May justice prevail and his soul rest in peace.
