The Coke Boy MC's work in Uganda started after he visited the country to film his "Unforgettable" video, last year. He ended up donating $100,000 to the Mama Hope Foundation, an organization supports global entrepreneurship to help end extreme poverty in the African country. The money went toward a hospital that helped facilitate pregnant women and a health care initiative. "It feels beautiful to be a child of God, citizen of the world and agent of change. I'm helping the people that need help, you know," he told a TMZ cameraman, outside the event.
He plans on taking his contributions even further. "We going to Morocco," he added, the location of his latest video for "Famous." "We expanding our platform to Morocco. Building up our...a couple of things that are going to help the kids in Morocco, you know...The whole idea of this is to spark the mind of the world leaders, you know. To help them do something on a bigger scale than what we doing. I just feel like all the mothers and children should have the right care, you know. It should never be a privilege, it should be a right." Diddy recently helped the cause, donating $200,000 to French's health care plan. The Weeknd also pitched in $100,000.
Good to know!
