The then-Twitter employee who temporarily shut down President Donald Trump’s account during his last day on the job has been identified as Bahtiyar Duysak, a contract employee based in the San Francisco area.
Duysak said he never thought he would actually be able to disable Trump’s account, calling it a “mistake.” He maintains that he did not “go to any site I was not supposed to go to” and “didn’t break any rules.” Trump’s account was deactivated for around 11 minutes earlier this month, and Twitter said at the time that a “customer service employee” was able to perform the action. Twitter later said it “implemented safeguards to prevent this from happening again.”
Bahtiyar the world loves and thanks you for ever.
