Photo: Wonders shall never cease: Millionaire beggar arrested

An Arab national who managed to earn more than SR1.2 million through beggary was arrested in Yanbu. Col. Fahd Al-Ghanam, spokesman of Madinah Police, said that police squads nabbed the man after he was found begging in dubious circumstances.
They discovered huge amount of money from his custody.
Investigations revealed that the man was assisted by his wife and three children. All of them were staying in the Kingdom illegally.
Security authorities seized cash and other valuables worth SR1.2 million from them. Ghanam said the millionaire beggar managed to obtain an investor license from a Gulf country.
He was living in a luxurious furnished apartment and used to travel in between various cities and regions in a GCC-registered car owned by him. Authorities have started comprehensive investigation into the man's illegal activities.
