News: Neymar was 'one inch away' from being paralysed + Zuñiga gets death threats & is called a monkey

The 22-year-old was stretchered off in the 88th minute in tears after he had been kneed from behind by Juan Zuniga – in a challenge that the Colombia player did not receive any punishment for.
Team doctor, Rodrigo Lasma, told Brazilian TV afterwards that Neymar had fractured his vertebra in his spine and would miss the rest of the tournament although he wouldn’t require surgery for the injury.
But according to some reports, doctors also said that if the Barcelona forward had been hit by Zuniga an inch higher, he might have been paralysed.
Zuniga himself said that he had ‘never meant to hurt’ Neymar, who bows out of the World Cup with four goals to his name.
Zuniga” was trending on Twitter and messages included a torrent of abusive comment aimed at the Napoli defender after he kneed Neymar in the back, fracturing a vertebrae.
Among the less offensive posts, contributors called the 28-year-old a “monster” and the “biggest villain in the history of football”. Some Brazilians racially abuse Zuniga, calling him a ‘monkey’, and tagging him with death threats. Several have issued cowardly warnings that Zuniga shouldn’t be allowed to leave Brazil alive, while others have limited themselves to hateful racial abuse.
The abuse was tempered by other posts which called for calm and said racist abuse was unacceptable.
Here's a VID of the incidence, do you think Zuñiga hit Neymar intentionally?
