News: MD Of Senator Aruwa’s Newspaper "New Democrat" Assassinated In Kaduna

Unknown assassins on thursday evening in Kaduna town shot and killed one Ustaz Yunus, said to be the Managing Director of New Democrat, a Kaduna-based weekly newspaper. The newspaper is owned by Senator Ahmed Aruwa, a two-term Nigerian Senator from 1999 to 2007.
A senior police officer of the Kaduna State Police Command confirmed the incident. The officer said the assassins stormed Yunus’s home in an area called Ungwan Dosa, near the popular Dialogue Computers.
Upon entering his house, the assassins shot him at close range before they escaped without a trace.
While the details are vague, it was confirmed that he will be buried around 10am today Saturday in Kaduna.
