News: Mr & Mrs Paul Okoye off for honeymoon as celebs give marriage advice

As Mr and Mrs Paul Okoye jet off for honeymoon following their traditional wedding over the weekend, celebrities have started giving marriage advice to the newly weds even before their white wedding. Even though the couple have been together for 10 years before taking the big step, this did not discourage the celebrity friends from giving advice. Everybody in the entertainment industry was in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria for the event. His twin brother, Peter, spoke to several news outlets reeling off marriage advice to his brother. Other celebrities who followed suit are: Nollywood actor Kanayo O Kanayo, MI, Uti Nwachukwu, Dare Art Alade, Mr Ibu, Banky W, Uche Jombo, Ice Prince, Pasuma and a host of other stars. The event was anchored by Julius Agwu, while Kenny Ogungbe gave the toast. Shortly afterwards Ghollywood actor Majid Michel penned his own marriage advice, read it below:

"Ok I hope my advices work. I love being married. It’s so great to find one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life. For two people in a marriage to live together day after day is unquestionably the one miracle the Vatican has overlooked. One advantage of marriage is that, when you fall out of love with him or he falls out of love with you, it keeps you together until you fall in again. A good marriage would be between a blind wife and a deaf husband. A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. There is so little difference between husbands you might as well keep the first. Before marriage, a man will lie awake all night thinking about something you said; after marriage, he’ll fall asleep before you finish saying it. My wife and I have the secret to making a marriage last. Two times a week, we go to a nice restaurant, a little wine, good food….. She goes Tuesdays, I go Fridays. Just kidn**lol. To avoid mistakes and regrets, always consult your wife before engaging in a flirtation. The man who says his wife can’t take a joke, forgets that she took him. Whenever you’re wrong admit it; Whenever you’re right shut up.The secret of a happy marriage remains a secret. We have the greatest prenuptial agreement in the world. It’s called love."

Meanwhile, in a pre-wedding video, Paul Okoye revealed why he is wedding his heartthrob and baby mama after 10 years together; “We are just getting married now because we are now emotionally and psychologically ready for marriage. She loves me for who I am and not what I am. She is a woman of good treasure, the puzzle of my heart and my beautiful Onyinye. Some people say she is lucky but I think I’m the luckiest dude because she’s a virtuous woman sent from above.”
