News: Target won't sell Beyoncé's album? No biggie. She takes it to Wal-Mart AND surprises customers with $50 gift cards

Singer Beyoncé Knowles- Carter made a surprise visit to Wal-Mart in Tewksbury MA yesterday Sat. Dec 21 and gave everyone in the store a $50 Wal-Mart Gift Card which read, "Happy Holidays from Beyoncé." This cost the singer a whopping  37,000 US dollars!!!
"Beyonce just hit up wal mart and purchased everyone in the store $50 gift cards. Beyonce for president," an Instagram user wrote with the photo.
The lucky store to get ambushed by the star is reportedly located in Tewksbury, Mass. Bey pushed her own cart around, grabbing a few items (including her new album) and got on the speaker system to greet customers and surprise them with their gift cards.
Her grand gesture comes a few days after Walmart's competitor, Target, released a statement saying they wouldn't carry Bey's new album in stores.
"At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections," Target spokesperson Erica Julkowski had said.
Walmart, however, said they would still be carrying her album in stores.
And clearly, their shoppers have benefited from that in more ways than one.
