News: Patti LaBelle slaps Aretha Franklin in the White House? Aretha replies

The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin opens up in a new interview about her new album and also comments on a recent web report alleging that she got into a fist fight with Patti LaBelle.
A reporter sat for an interview with the 72year-old R&B superstar when she stopped over in Toronto to perform at Roy Thomson Hall. Franklin shared her thoughts on a variety of subjects, including a widely cited online website's report that she got into a physical altercation with soul diva Patti LaBelle during an encounter at an Atlanta concert.
The website TheNewsNerd gave a detailed account of the alleged incident during which it purported that LaBelle gave Franklin "a Mayweather style right and left" that caused the singer to stumble and fall, "landing awkwardly." The site -- which does include a disclaimer at the bottom of the page explaining that its stories are "for entertainment purposes only" and "purely satirical," went on to say that LaBelle had been arrested as a result of the incident.
"That was ridiculous! That is the craziest thing I have ever heard," the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said about the web report. "Patti and I are cool! We always have been. I've known Patti for years, many years," Franklin said, adding that she might be pursuing legal action over the false story.
She also spoke about her new album and hinted that she expects it to be unlike any of her previous records. "This is going to be something you haven't heard," she said. "It's a concept album. And it's what Mr. (Clive) Davis wants. We're doing Midnight Train to Georgia, People, and we may do Bootylicious, which I love."
The album -- titled Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love, will be available exclusively at Walmart stores and Walmart.com beginning May 3.
