Simone Battle, a former contestant on The X Factor and a member of the all-girls group G.R.L., was found dead in her Los Angeles home yesterday. 
She was 25 years old.

Today, battle's record company and management issued a joint statement on her passing.

'We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L.' the statement from Reign Deer Entertainment, Kemosabe Records, RCA Records and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin reads.

'Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.'

Friend and fellow-musician Derek Butler initially broke the news overnight on Instagram. 

Butler posted a picture of Battle and wrote: 'I'm, still in shock and in disbelief to have confirmed the death of my childhood friend.

'Her heart was pure gold and her star power limitless. Rest in sweet peace Angel.'  

At the time of her death, Battle was singing in the girl group G.R.L. which was initially organized as a re-boot of The Pussycat Dolls group.

Battle’s father tells TMZ his daughter’s body discovery in the bedroom of her apartment in a West Hollywood neighborhood.
Law enforcement officials also say Simone was tragically found hanging on a rod in the closet of her bedroom around 8:30 AM on Friday.
They believe she took her own life.
Tragic! We send our condolences to the singer's family, friends and loved ones.

Battle first started singing professionally after her breakout on the U.S. version of the X Factor in 2011. She made it to the top 17 and was mentored by judge Simon Cowell.

The X Factor band - Kazeem Ajobo, Sterling Ramsey and Joey James - have been working on their debut album, and their debut single Street Love, a re-working on Anita Baker's 80s hit Sweet Love, will be released on June 29.
"Being signed to Epic makes everything worthwhile; all the hard work, all the grafting and difficult times makes this a magical and memorable moment that will live with us for years to come. We can finally take off the X Factor training wheels and enter the big industry," the trio said.
Along with being signed to a huge major label, we are also excited and happy to announce that we will be releasing our first official single Street Love. We can't wait to hit stages everywhere and deliver performances to be remembered!!! How Epic is that?!" they added.
Mentored by Gary Barlow, the London-based trio were the last group in the competition, but they were sent home in the semi-finals of the last series.
They have encountered some troubles in the past - Kazeem was booted off the X Factor's live tour for bad behaviour, so his bandmates had to continue performing as a duo.
The 25-year-old, who has convictions for assault and drug possession, also missed out on the judges' houses stage last year when he failed to get a visa to perform at Gary's house in New York. But X Factor bosses gave him another chance and he was reunited with his bandmates for the live finals.

News: Singer fired by record label for his lyrics: "I'm gonna blow up your family like I'm a terrorist"

X Factor winner James Arthur has reportedly been sacked by Simon Cowell's record company Syco following a new song in which he appears to glamourise terrorism.
This follows several months of "Twitter gaffs" by Arthur who has been accused of homophobia on the social networking site.
After recording just one album for the label, 26-year-old James has now been dropped with the shocking new track apparently the final straw that led to music mogul Simon's decision, according to reports.The new song, Follow The Leader, features lyrics in which James raps 'I'm gonna blow up your family like I'm a terrorist'.
A music source told The Sun on Sunday's Dan Wootton that it appears that James might be self-destructing.
'He has done himself no favours with his outbursts,' the source revealed. 'It's as if he's almost willing Syco to drop him.'Simon and Syco have been extremely loyal to Jams throughout his problems but there's only so much they are prepared to put up with.'It feels like the end of the road for him at Syco - James has been his own worst enemy.'

James tweeted that his songs were actually from the point of view of a mad fan and that he wanted everyone to hear it in context, but it appears that he may have just gone a little too far with the terrorist references. Another of the tracks on the mixtape appears to glamourise drugs while another is a tirade of foul language.
It's not the sort of material that a mainstream music company like Syco - who have stars like One Director and Susan Boyle on their books - are likely to want to be associated with. Even as he won his X Factor crown back in 2012 James was already feuding with former winner Matt Cardle. Then he got himself into entanglements with X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan over homophobic comments, lashed out at Rita Ora and then became embroiled in an online spat with model Teddy Edwardes.
His last single with Syco, Get Down, failed to reach the top 40 after radio stations failed to play it and James lashed out at his publicity team saying they sould 'stick to promoting Paul Potts'.
Cowell said of James earlier this year: 'Somebody should have told him to shut up and just put the records out'. 

News: Filipina maid rocks her way into Israel's X-Factor finale

Once part of a faceless crowd of foreign workers who clean homes and tend to Israel's sick and elderly, a Filipina caregiver has shot to stardom on a popular TV singing contest.
Rose Fostanes, 47, surprised viewers of Israel's X-Factor talent show and swept its judges off their feet with soulful renditions of pop songs by the likes of Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera. And she has rocked her way to Tuesday's live final.
Fostanes hopes her popularity on the show will shine a spotlight on Israel's low-paid foreign workers, who include about 20,000 Filipinos. For many Israelis, the word "Filipino" has become synonymous with caregiver, and Fostanes' appearance and success on X-Factor could help break the stereotype.
"I think I will be a leader for them because of what I did and I think also they will be proud of me," she told Reuters on Sunday. "Everybody in the world will know that Filipinos, even working as a cleaner ... can also share their talents."

Fostanes, who came to Israel four years ago, has been working for about 20 years across the Middle East. She had always wanted to be a professional singer and the X-Factor gave her a shot at her dream.
At first she thought Israelis would not vote for a foreign worker, and that she would be an underdog in the competition, where viewers and a panel of four Israeli musicians determine at different stages which contender moves up and which gets dropped.

"I feel that everybody is looking at me like I was an alien," she said on one of the early audition episodes of the show. "A Filipina working here, cleaning houses."
Then Fostanes - who cares for an ailing woman in Tel Aviv - got on the stage and sang Lady Gaga's "You and I", winning a standing ovation from her competitors. To her surprise, the votes, cast via text messages and the show's website, kept on coming and catapulted her to celebrity status.
"I get from them a lot of good compliments, especially when I'm on the street, when I'm on the bus. I get from them love, from all the Israeli people who saw my videos and saw me on the television," Fostanes said.
Fostanes has been compared to the Scottish singer Susan Boyle, 52, who shot to fame in 2009 after appearing on the TV show "Britain's Got Talent" and performing a powerful rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical "Les Miserables".

Boyle's giddy rise from unknown to multi-million-selling recording artist has been made into a musical.
"My dream is to win this competition, but I have to go back to my work as a caregiver," Fostanes said before getting up on the arena stage to rehearse one of the numbers she was due to sing at the finals, Frank Sinatra's "My Way".

 On Thur Dec.19, The X Factor revealed its season three victor  as confetti and smiles filled the stage. After nearly three months of intense competition, amazing performances and heartbreaking eliminations, the finale came down to three incredible singers: Alex and Sierra, Jeff Gutt and Carlito Olivero.
It was a star-studded night on The X Factor as singing elite like Mary J.Blige, Lea Michele, One Direction, Pitbull and Kesha all took to the stage to celebrate the season three finale and help pave the way for the show's newest champion.
Despite the crowded stage, only one act could earn the title of this season's X Factor champion.

Representing team Simon, The boyfriend-girlfriend team are the first duo to have won The X Factor in the United States. Executive producer and mentor Simon Cowell was thrilled that American chose Alex and Sierra as the new champions saying, "I feel like Christmas just came early."
Following the announcement of the winner, both singers were all smiles as they thanked the voters at home. "This is incredible!" Alex exclaimed. Sierra, who looked adorably stunned, added,  "Thank you so much for getting us here and thanks for not making fun of my weird faces all the time."

Beyoncé had earlier announced that whoever is titled the 'X Factor' winner out of the three finalists will be joining her on the Mrs Carter tour. The 'Crazy in love' hit maker made the surprising revelation while wishing Sam Bailey, Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald good luck after performing a duet with each of them, the Daily Express reported.
She said the winner will open the LG arena in Birmingham with her and also secure a recording contract! Wowza!! Luke came 3rd, Nicholas came 2nd and.............

Lucky Sam Bailey! The 36 year old was voted  as the winner of the 2013 XFactorUK last night Sun. Dec.15. The mother of two had been a bookies’ favourite for months, ever since her first audition aired in September of this year so it was not really a surprise she won.

I really can't wait to hear and see her on stage with Beyonce!!!

'X Factor' contestant Tamera Foster forgot the lyrics during her performance tonight last night.
The 17-year-old singer, who had slipped up during rehearsals, missed out some of the words to Shirley Bassey's 'Diamonds Are Forever' on the live show on ITV.

Judge Sharon Osbourne said: 'Tamera, it's kind of bittersweet because it was your best performance to date, and then you go in the middle of the song 'errrrrr'. Nobody would have known if you hadn't have done that.
'But because you're just a baby, you don't know these little things that help an artist along the way.
'You always just carry on, you never go 'errrrr' but it was the best performance you've done to date.'
Tamera's mentor Nicole Scherzinger said she was proud of her and Gary Barlow said he was going to ignore the mistake and could still see ' a lot of potential' in the singer.
He said: 'I'm just waiting for you one of these weeks to completely steal the show, the magic moment, it's not happened yet, it's not this week but I know it's in there. I'm praying we get to see it.'
Fellow judge Louis Walsh said: 'I think you may have lost the words somewhere in the middle but it's a sign of a true professional, you picked yourself up and you kept going and that's what this business is all about'.

Tamera told host Dermot O'Leary: 'It was a tough song but I'm proud of myself because I was very scared about coming on and performing this song.
'I did mess up and I realise that but I powered through and I picked myself up and I carried on.'
Tamara, not to worry, our first West African Idol- Timi Dakolo forgot his lyrics too when singing George Benson's "Give me the night" and not only did he win the show, he has recorded and sold many albums and won so many awards.
